What a night, it never ends. Even now, I can hear the screaming. Why do they scream? It’s the screams that keep me sane. If they didn’t, that would be creepy.
“Vincent, is that you?” the sweet voice echoed from upstairs. The voice of the woman from next door. I’d forgotten I let her and her son stay with me since her ex was terrorizing them. At least that’s what she said before slipping into my bed. But she didn’t know she was trading one monster for another. This… is not going to go well. It never does.
“Vincent…” she stopped in her tracks. Dressed in just a t-shirt, the smile drains from her already pale face. Not an unexpected response I have to say, but disappointing.
My body tenses. There will be a chase. There always is when they realize. The adrenaline already rushing through my veins. Ready. But I left the knife in the car, it will have to be brutal, but I can make it fast…
